Coincidental remixing

The Fluxic way of remixing stuff is somewhat deviant from general practices.

By isolating the various elements of a track, and then preparing and looping that information algorithmically you will get a coincidental sequence of the elements that will produce results, ranging from the brillant to the useless.

Depending on the raw material, this method will produce a very varied output over a given time interval. The result is edited to taste to produce a final master of the desired length.

This method shows the way for automated DJ function. Along with the “stems” format definition for DJ applications, techniques like this could change the face of DJ’ing within a few years.

You may get an impression of this method, listening to the very extended remixes of my own track “Unfinished Business”.
