INFINITY:: AGITATORS :: THE FASHION SHOW

A UNIQUE FASHION SHOW

Dynamic, algorithmic short story

by Jesper Ranum

Champs-Elysees, Paris,
20:00 Friday.
The famous Fashion House,
Diane
Saint-Laurent,
has launched a new collection.

The important looking
hobby DJ
hits the button and plays
a Bulgarian reissue of
“No Milk Today”
bought on a gas station.

A flickering white ray sweeps across
the dark green stage backdrop.
A catwalk slowly rises as
numerous small TV-monitors show
a frog eyes view of a Socrates statue,
with short glimpses from a gas mask demonstration.

The lights are dimmed
just as
Lena
Killeye -
a
47 year old
overweight
but
somewhat nervous
french
alcoholic -
gets standing ovations
appearing in
a boheme
brown
short legged
santa Claus outfit,
and
uneven
slippers
and
pretty laughable
bike helmet.

A hairflower
and
a John Lennon album
marks an elegant end to this
somewhat nervous
performance.

The hard-sniffing
critics
jump excited on the table and
the president’s daughter
welcomes you to have a drink in the bar.
