INFINITY:: AGITATORS :: THE FASHION SHOW

A UNIQUE FASHION SHOW

Dynamic, algorithmic short story

by Jesper Ranum

The Bund, Shanghai,
early Saturday evening.
One of the top houses in fashion,
Yves
Lagerfeld,
lifts the curtain for a range of new styles.

The self-confident
female indie DJ
hits the button and plays
a Balearic House mix of
Satisfaction
bought on Discogs

A MacDonalds logo gets visible through
the red, smoke-filled background.
As the catwalk lights red
numerous small TV-monitors show
an X-Ray of Karl Marx,
with superimposed missile launches.

The heat is rising
when the special guest
Charlotte
Bagdouche -
a
42 year old
overweight
but
bombastic
arabian
freelancer -
enters the set
wearing
a Cool
blue
rhinestone-covered
robe,
perfected by
oversize
leather shoes
and
a seriously kinky
sixpence.

A John Lennon album
and
a fishing rod
enforce the
has-been
style.

The tinnitus plagued
judges
look like drowned cats and
the top dollar manager
pays a post mortem tribute to a legend from the past.
