Shuffled Playback

In line with the many other randomized and algorithmic experiments, I have looked into the consequences and pitfalls with shuffled playback of pieces.

It is appealing, that the user will get a new and surprising experience every time they turn to your platform. But it also puts high demands on consistency and quality, since ANY of your works may be the first that someone hears from you. So it better be something good.

In the Fluxic 1.0 “Expanding Meta Work“-site  this function has been implemented represented by a dice in the player, that randomly selects and plays back a new random piece when clicked. Try for yourself and see what you think:
