UNDER OWN ROOF
After moving from my childhood home, I of course brought my gear collection, and brought it up in the new apartment that I acquired together with a schoolmate, in Sundevedsgade, Vesterbro, Copenhagen. The apartment was decently sized, but in a very bad shape, so we spent the best part of a year refurbishing it. I was anxiously protecting my gear in the middle of constructions.
But I eventually managed to set up a small studio space in one of the rooms, and this yielded a quite productive and creative period.
RECORDING SETUP
Recordings started on the Tascam Portastudio 144 4-track casette recorder, with sync on track 4 to slave the rhytm units and sequencers for live tweaking and multitracking. Later the TEAC 3340S 4-track tape-recorder took over the recording duties for a more pro sound.
GEAR IN STUDIO 2
During that time I acquired quite a few additional pieces of gear:
COOPERATIONS
During this period I played and toured with Danish electro-act “Scatterbrain“.
I participated in the early multimedia musical and album project “Communication”.
And laid the first foundations for the band “DeFilm“.
Alongside with that I explored the possibilities with multitrack sequencing on the MC-4B MicroComposer and recorded with friend Henrik Lumholdt under my “Tronix” project name.
I recorded quite a lot of material under the Tronix name, and several of the albums in the “Expanding Meta Work” is by Tronix
I even wrote some of my first vocal songs here, and had demo vocal sessions with renowned Danish singers Allan Mortensen and Debbie Cameron.
